I only use the highest quality, FDA compliant, cosmetic grade face paints, powders & glitters. I can also do simple balloon twisting (dogs, swords, flowers, butterflies etc) upon request. I am fully insured for face painting.
My hourly rate includes face painting, balloon twisting (only if requested and as long as there is enough time booked), all supplies and memories that will last a lifetime!
On average, I can fully face paint 10-12 faces per hour. I can offer simpler designs that are quicker to paint, allowing me to accommodate 15-20 faces per hour. This is a good guideline to determine how much time to book. Please note that balloon twisting will require extra time.
I have a 1 hour minimum for local events. Depending on the distance I have to travel, there may be a 2 hour minimum.
I accept payment by cash, business checks, PayPal and all major credit cards (a 4% fee is applied to all credit card transactions). Invoices are available upon request prior to your event. No personal checks are accepted unless received and funds are cleared before the day of your event.
It will depend on how much time I have to play with in between bookings. If you think you may need more time, you probably do (just from past experience). Keep in mind that everyone loves to be face painted! I find that it’s very common that when the children are done the moms & dads all start lining up, so you might want to plan for that as well and book longer ahead of time to guarantee that I can accommodate everyone. If you are the last booking of the day then I can be more flexible and “play it by ear”. There will be an additional fee for any extra time over agreed upon time.
Yes. The face paints, glitters and powders that I use are all safe and non toxic. Technically, they are not paint. They are theatrical make-up. They are all FDA compliant, cosmetic grade (like what is used in movie makeup) so even if they are ingested they are completely harmless. Everything I use is water based so that it can be easily removed with soap and water. Keep in mind that bright and dark colors such as red, green and black might require a little extra attention.
(Take lots of pictures first! I love to see pictures of you enjoying my designs. Feel free to email them to me)
-Apply liquid soap or baby shampoo to painted area. Don't add water yet. Face paint is water activated, starting with water can make it more difficult to remove.
-Lather gently with fingers in a circular motion to loosen paint. It will become a gloppy mess but that's the paint leaving your skin.
- Rinse well with warm water
-Repeat if necessary
-If color remains, gently rub with baby oil or make-up remover on a cotton ball
*No matter how much you LOVE your design, please do not sleep in the face paint.
I am a stickler when it comes to punctuality and I do everything I can to ensure that I will arrive promptly at the scheduled time. I always try to arrive 10 minutes early to set up. We all know that traffic can be totally unpredictable so if I do get stuck in traffic, I will call you and let you know. I do however plan for traffic issues and allow extra time so that this rarely happens.
Please feel free to call, text or email me with any further questions or if you would like me to hold a spot for you!
